Chernobyl Disaster:
Today in class we had ro study 3 facts about the Chernobyl disaster. Down below are my facts.
In 1986 the Chernobyl disaster was caused by a the nuclear power plant blowing up and burning.
. It is illegal to live in Chernobyl, but despite this 130-150 still do.
. The firefighters were struggling to put the fire out so eventually helicopters had to dump big buckets of sand to help put it out.

Holmglen Shipwreck
This week we had to study a history disaster. Mine was the Holmesglen Shipwreck. We had to create a timeline about our disaster and then do a type of presentation. I did a Voki. Which is when I put in my text and the lady off the app says it for me.

Polish Refugees
Six Interesting Facts about the Polish Refugees
1. Before It became the polish refugee camp it was and Internment camp for the civilians who demanded a risk to national security.
2. They spent two weeks traveling in a cattle wagon to Siberia and two years in work camps.
3. When they all became older 700 children to stay in New Zealand ( as new zealanders) and move in with other families or into Boarding houses.
4. A guy named Frank Szpunar made a secret message with one of his polish friends. He said to his friend "when you get back to poland if nothing has changed right us a letter in ink" " But if it has changed write us a letter in pencil". Then eventually the letter came back and it was written in Pencil
5. The camp for the polish was in Pahiatua in Wairarapa. There was 733 children and 102 Adults.
6. He Invited the Polish people to save them from the war as it was getting worse and worse.
7. When they arrived in Nz none of them understood english and Found it very difficult to talk to New Zealanders.
